About the Journal

Trophe: Journal of Tropical Public Health is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by Aliansi Transintegrasi Lektur Agama dan Sains (ATLAS), Indonesia, twice a year, in June-Desember. The journal is devoted to advancing knowledge and practice in tropical public health, with a particular focus on health challenges, interventions, and policies relevant to tropical and subtropical regions. It aims to serve as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate research that addresses the complex interplay between environmental, social, and biological determinants of health in tropical contexts. The primary aim of Trophe is to promote high-quality research that contributes to the prevention and control of diseases, the improvement of health systems, and the enhancement of community well-being in tropical settings. The journal encourages studies that integrate scientific rigor with practical relevance, including those that examine infectious and non-communicable diseases, environmental health risks, climate change impacts, and health equity. It also seeks to highlight innovative strategies in public health interventions, surveillance systems, and policy development that respond to the unique challenges of tropical regions. The journal’s scope encompasses a wide range of disciplines within public health and related fields, including epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, health promotion, global health, health policy and management, nutrition, and tropical medicine. Special attention is given to topics such as vector-borne diseases, maternal and child health, sanitation and hygiene, occupational health, and community-based health initiatives. All submissions are welcomed as long as they contribute to the advancement of tropical public health knowledge and practice, particularly in addressing regional and global health disparities.
